MARDI GRAS at Harbour Town
Following Louisiana tradition (with a few modifications), HTC neighbors mounted their steeds (er... golf carts) in costume to go in search of food at other neighbors' houses.

Treats for the on-lookers
Along the parade route beads and candy were pitched to the onlookers. It was just like New Orleans. Well...sort of.

Back at the Outrigger
The food was paraded to the Outrigger to begin creating some Louisiana style cookin'. Several gumbos were boilin' while chicken and sausage were being barbequed on the grille.

Crissler Sponsors
A hearty Harbour Town thanks to Herb and Gay Crissler who were sponsors of the party. The Margarita machine got a big workout!

Good Eatin'
The weather was perfect as the Yacht Club members and guests arrived at 5PM to begin the big meal. No one went away hungry or thirsty! Dancing to the tunes spun by deejay Kerry Bankhead made the evening complete.

King and Queen
And no Mardi Gras would be complete without the corination of the King and Queen. By tradition of the masks we cannot identify the King and Queen. They deserve their privacy from the media. But, many thanks to the King, who grew up in Louisiana, for inspiring this event which no doubt will become an annual tradition in HTC. And thanks to the Queen for organizing the very tasty cooking.
